Technology
and innovation are interrelated concepts.
Traditionally, innovation
happens through the adoption of technology - the steam engine,
electricity, computers. But today, increasingly, technology changes
how innovation itself happens: by facilitating collaboration, by
enabling serendipitous connections, by fostering new business models.
Social media, big data and the sharing economy concepts are enabling
disruptive innovation across sectors.
We will look at concrete cases
of how this happens - but also at how these concepts interact with
each other to deliver even greater disruption.
